About Us · The Easiest Way to Get Creative Work Done

Born in a Kafunda.

Years ago, in an apartment in Wandegeya, Kampala, a group of us would meet for drinks. The ideas we produced in that room were incredible — completely free and unbridled, never filtered through corporate safety lenses or watered down by committee.

That room taught us something the industry still resists: independent, unconfined talent isn't an alternative to traditional agencies. It's the absolute peak of the creative industry.

The problem with how creative work gets done.

For Brands

Bold brands need wild, original creativity to stand out. But that talent often lacks the infrastructure to plug into a fast-moving marketing team — so brands settle for the safe, predictable formula, or risk the chaos of unmanaged talent.

For Creatives

Brilliant independent minds are exhausted. They want to produce award-winning work, but they're forced to spend half their time chasing invoices and playing project manager instead of creating.

The Bridge

Kafunda Kreative is a new kind of creative agency: Africa's wildest independent talent, united with unbreakable agency-level infrastructure.

We absorb the structural burden — vetting, project management, contracts, payments — so creatives stay unbridled while delivering flawlessly. We handle the structure. They channel the magic. And unlike agencies that restrict you to whoever's on their bench, we custom-build the perfect team for your specific challenge, without borders.

David Ogutu

Founder & Team Lead

Self-taught designer, photographer, audio producer, and broadcaster. Learned each one because a challenge demanded it.

The short version of a long story.

Our founder never went to creative school. He got into radio by audition, and when the show went to someone else, he walked into the production studio and taught himself audio production instead of going home.

When social media arrived and waiting on a big organisation's design department took forever, he taught himself graphic design. When the KoiKoi trips needed photographers and the van was full of people who weren't, he learned to shoot. Every challenge became a skill.

Then came the realisation that started this company: "I had all these skills — but I was struggling to make money." The talent was never the problem. The infrastructure was. No pipeline of serious clients, no one handling contracts and invoices, no system turning skill into income.

Kafunda Kreative is that infrastructure. We built the thing he needed and couldn't find: a vetted network where African creatives do their best work while we handle the clients, the briefs, the deadlines, and the money. The full story is in the Journal.

What we are now.

Invoice-chasing creatives

Creatives in our network get guaranteed, prompt payment. That was the founding promise, and it's the one we protect hardest.
